Some of the tools we use to improve the overall response of buildings are wind tunnel testing, earthquake characterization, pile load testing, linear and non-linear dynamic analysis, among others.
WIND TUNNEL TESTS
Wind tunnel tests are a tool to confirm and / or optimize the response of buildings under wind loads. Climate studies and wind tunnel tests have been one of the procedures used by our firm, as a complement to achieve optimum performance levels for buildings.
The lateral pressure distribution, wind loads, acceleration response and torsional speeds are some of the results obtained from the tests. Structural decisions are made based on this study, to optimize structural performance.
SUPERVISION OF PILE INSTALLATION
Construction site pile inspection and concrete quality control are other services offered by ING. O.M.RAMIREZ Y ASOCIADOS, S.A.
Soil identification, excavation control, reinforcement installation and concrete pouring in excavations are some of the tasks supervised by our firm for the construction of tall buildings
Pile Load Test
The pile load test is a structural requirement, in almost all the projects carried out by our firm. PDA, Static Load Test and Test with Osterberg Cells are some of the procedures used by our firm for the confirmation of the load capacity or optimization of the pile design.
Shortlisted test piles are subjected to their maximum capacity in foundations of tall buildings. ING. O.M.RAMIREZ Y ASOCIADOS, S.A. participates in the configuration of the test and definition of the load, as well as in the interpretation and application of the test results to the production piles.
Seismic Protection Systems
Advanced procedures in the design of buildings, with damping systems, are other tools used by our firm to improve the behavior of buildings that may be affected by seismic activity.
